• "Big Lost is an outstanding bunch of guys who know how to do it. Great guides, great hospitality, and great hunting. My life long hunting buddy and I scored a double with two big Mullies above the tree line on an October rifle hunt, and a few other hunters in the lodge harvested some nice bull elk while we were there. We couldn't happier with what we received all around from these guys. The scenery is gorgeous, the wildlife is all over, and the terrain is rugged. If you want a real hunt, and want to find out how well you do in the Rockies I wouldn't hesitate to give this place a try."

  • "My hunting experience with Big Lost River Outfitters was outstanding, I could not have asked for anything more. The lodge and accommodations were first class with nothing spared. The lodge has the right mix of comfort with the hunting atmosphere. The Guides were some of the best I have ever hunted with. They were very knowledgeable of the game and terrain that we were hunting. It was the hunt that I will be telling stories about for a long time and the memories that will last a lifetime."

  • "I wanted to drop a huge THANK YOU to BLRO for the great bear hunt I had a week ago. There were some scheduling issues on my end, with the late spring, but the boys worked through them so I could still go on the hunt. Will, Don, and Jay were incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and I had a wonderful time. I particularly appreciated the special treatment I got with my bad knee. While not exactly planned, it turned out that I didn't have to walk more than about 30' from the truck to shoot my bear. How much better can it get? I'll be sure to recommend Big Lost River Outfitters every chance I get. Please feel free to use me as a reference, and give my name and contact info to anybody who wants it."

  • "Hunting with Big Lost River Outfitters will go down as one of the most treasured experiences I have had on a hunting trip. The accommodations are second to none that I have ever experienced, a beautiful lodge that is very cozy with all the comforts of home, meals were outstanding. The knowledge of the expert guides made the hunt so enjoyable not to mention successful. It would be a great place for a couple to go and hunt even if one party does not care to hunt. Just a perfect place to hunt, vacation and relax."

  • "I would like to extend my gratitude for one of the best hunting experiences of my life. Helping me harvest my first elk was phenomenal, but the fun that I had hunting with Brad was something I will never forget. From the unbelievable lodge and scenery, to the most knowledgeable guides I've ever met, this place is nothing short of "First Class". See you next year!"

  • "WOW what a place! The Lodge is beautiful and spacious with all the comforts. The views from the Lodge, spectacular. Guides are local, very knowledgeable, and accommodating and have a great sense of humor. The food was awesome and plenty of it. The game, well, all four of us that had elk tags took elk."

  • "I would like to take the time to thank you for what I could only describe as a chance of a lifetime hunt. I am not one that requires five star accommodations however it is far too often that you arrive at a hunting camp and you know it is going to be a long week. The accommodations you provide are much of what one would expect at a ski resort in Jackson Hole or Vail. The lodge is incredible with amazing decor. The view of Mount Bora is breathtaking out the front picture window or better yet from the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. The picture perfect trout stream that runs through the back provides for great sound, scenery, and fishing during any downtime you may desire. We had approximately 8 hunters in our group who all ranged in physical capabilities with varying expectations and desires. My goal was to hike as much of the beautiful mountain sides as possible in pursuit of trophy elk and mule deer while others wanted a less physical approach yet good opportunity to shoot the same caliber animal as the high country provided. Each hunt and guide was carefully selected to match up with each hunter's capabilities and expectations. All 8 of us came back with the elk we had been dreaming about all year. I don't know if I enjoyed the actual hunt the most, the horse ride through god's country while packing out my elk, the scenery, or just hanging out with a great group of guides. Due to the accommodations I am actually planning to bring my wife and 2 young daughters (4 & 8) back this summer for horse back riding, mountain biking, hiking, and trout fishing. We are really looking forward to coming back next winter for another great hunt if you will have us. I am just hoping I have lost the weight I put on from all those great meals before I come back next year. I don't normally take the time to write this type correspondence however it is deserved."
